These terms govern your use of Festival Planner (“the Service”). By using the Service, or by creating an account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Festival Planner is a free, community-built planning tool for music festivals. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any festival, promoter, venue or artist. Festival names, logos and maps belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification only.
You may use most of the Service without an account. If you create one, you agree to provide accurate information, to keep your credentials secure, and to accept responsibility for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old. We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms.
You agree not to:
You keep ownership of what you create — pins, itineraries, messages and contributions. By submitting content for publication, such as lineup corrections or festival requests, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it within the Service. You can delete your content or your account at any time.
Moderators may review, edit or remove submitted content, and may read conversations that are reported to them.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We make no promise or guarantee that the Service will be available, uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that any information in it is accurate, complete or current.
Maps, venue positions, set times, travel information and navigation features are approximate, are compiled from unofficial and community sources, and may be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Site layouts and line-ups change without notice.
Do not rely on the Service for safety, medical, emergency or navigational decisions. Positions shown on the map, including your own and your friends', are estimates limited by GPS accuracy and by the precision of the underlying map artwork. In an emergency, contact event staff or emergency services — not this app.
Always follow official festival information, signage and staff instructions. Where this Service disagrees with the official source, the official source is correct.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service, its owner, operators, developers, contributors, volunteers, moderators and any affiliated individuals or entities (together, the “Contributors”) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, opportunity, or for personal injury or property damage, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service — whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or any other theory, and whether or not the Contributors were advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of the Contributors for all claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to use the Service in the twelve months before the claim (which, the Service being free, is ordinarily zero) or ten US dollars (US$10).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. In those jurisdictions these exclusions and limitations apply only to the extent the law permits, and nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Nothing here affects your statutory consumer rights.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold the Contributors harmless from any claim, demand, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these terms.
The Service depends on third-party providers and may link to third-party sites. We do not control them, are not responsible for them, and their own terms and policies apply to your use of them. See the Privacy Policy for who they are.
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, and we may change these terms. The date above shows the last change. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these terms or risks harm to others. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including sections 5, 7, 8 and 12 — do.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the courts located there shall have jurisdiction — except where mandatory local law gives you the right to bring a claim in your place of residence, in which case that right is unaffected.
If any provision is held unenforceable, it shall be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions stay in force. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
Questions about these terms can be sent to the contact address on the site.
